THE WORLDS OF P'OTSUNU
Geronima Cruz Montoya of San Juan Pueblo
Jeanne Shutes and Jill Mellick
University of New Mexico Press, 1996
This beautifully designed book, with over 80 photographs and paintings, documents in word and image the long and remarkable life of a woman elder, P'otsunu, a Native American artist, mother, community leader, ceremonial participant, and master teacher of many famous Native American artists. It has been nominated for many literary awards and received high praise from Southwestern journals and, more importantly, acceptance and approval from the Pueblo people themselves.
